Who am I?

I am a qualified, experienced therapist, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I can offer you a respectful, empathetic, theoretically informed ‘space’, where, together, we can explore aspects of your life that are challenging. In my work I am bound by the BACP ethical code of conduct.

My training is “integrative” which means I am trained in a number of different therapeutic models. When working with you I will use the elements from those models that I feel best suit your needs. Models I use in my work include humanistic, existential, psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I chose to train as an integrative therapist, believing that there is no one model of therapy that suits all clients or all needs. Integration gives me the flexibility to customise my approach to best suit each client.

I work with adults, 16 years and above, and with a wide range of presenting problems. These include, but not limited to; anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, survivors of abuse, trauma victims, bereavement, relationship difficulties, and the impact of major illness (eg cancer).

As well as working in private practice I work as a volunteer counsellor at a low cost agency.

I am passionate about my work. It is both a privilege and a pleasure to work with my clients.
