I am a qualified, experienced integrative therapist, and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). The "space" I offer is respectful, empathetic, and theoretically informed, where, together, we can explore aspects of your life. My approach is relational and I invite clients to be curious and reflective. In my work I am bound by the BACP ethical code of conduct.
Models I use include person-centred, relational, psychodynamic, existential , CBT and I-CBT (for working with clients with OCD). Pulling from different models gives me the flexibility to customise my approach to suit each client's needs.
I work with adults, 18 years and above, individuals and couples, and with a wide range of presenting problems. These include, but are not limited to; anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, survivors of abuse, trauma victims, bereavement, relationship difficulties, OCD and the impact of major illness (eg cancer).
As well as working in private practice I work as a volunteer therapist at a low cost agency as I believe therapy should be available to all who seek it. In my previous working life I have worked in research and management roles, as well as been a volunteer and trustee at various charities.
