The Therapy Sessions

I offer a 20-30 minute online appointment for us to find out a little about each other and whether we may be a good Client/ Therapist match. There will be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about working with me.

Then, if you choose to work with me, the first session will include an ‘assessment’ which helps me build a more detailed picture of you, and what has brought you to therapy and what your therapeutic goal or goals may be. This is used to determine an approach to our work that will best suit you, as an individual.

In general sessions are weekly, on the same day, and the same time. They may be in person or online, and last for the standard 50 minutes, which allows me time before to prepare for the session and time afterwards to complete my notes. It is important that sessions start on time as they cannot be extended beyond the allotted time. During the sessions we will work at a pace that suits you.

I charge from £60 per session for individuals. and from £80 for couples. Fees are reviewed annually.

Working online, via Zoom, can be just as effective as face to face therapy, provided that you have a private space to talk. It saves time as no travel is required, and there may be more flexibility with session times. Some clients prefer this, while others prefer in person sessions. I offer both.

Your time slot will be held exclusively for you during our work together and, as such, I reserve the right to charge for cancelled or missed sessions.
